In this article, we will guide you through how to bulk edit and manually edit your inventory items.
Let’s imagine I own a convenience store and I would like to change the prices of my drinks in bulk. Below is what I currently have. (Note the prices and quantities)
To begin, open the spreadsheet that you previously used to import and create your existing inventory items.
Duplicate the spreadsheet.
Delete all irrelevant items (rows) that you do not wish to edit.
In the action_id, input “update” to indicate to the system that you wish to edit those items.
In the id column after action_id, find the corresponding item ID generated by the Bindo dashboard and input it in the column. This id can be found through clicking into each item from the Inventory page.
Ensure that the store ID corresponds to your store.
You may now make your desired adjustments to the price, quantity, product name, department, sku, brand and description.
You may also include your _mark if you are making changes to your suppliers list.
Save your file as a .xlsx or .CSV.
To start importing, first login to your HQ Bindo account, and navigate to Side Menu Bar > Inventory.
In the Inventories tab, click on the 3-dot icon and click "import" on the bottom right.
Click choose file, and select the spreadsheet you were working on. (the name of the file does not matter.)
After importing, you will see the updated changes in your inventory page.
